I’m going to cut through the BS!

Good health does not have to be complicated. It’s not about taking this vitamin or that, taking this test or that, or buying this gadget or that. It’s actually none of that.

Getting healthy doesn’t have to make your head spin. Again… It’s. Not. That. Complicated.

So, why have we made it so? Money! Everyone wants to sell you something, and most likely it’s something you don’t need. Many holistic ‘experts’ want to make you dependant on them (much like your Dr. does), instead of helping you find your own way.

Don’t fall for it. Don’t be scammed by the latest “natural” trick or newest, greatest vitamin or supplement.

This week’s meat stock: beef shank and oxtail with vegetables and herbs, made easily in my Instant Pot. Rich in quality collagen for joints, hair, skin, nails, and many bodily functions, without dubious powders.

High in bioavailable vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and healthy fats, unlike supplements. Whole foods trump supplements; you can’t supplement your way to health, but you can eat your way there.

We’re told to get off meds only to become slaves to supplements. It’s all a frikkin’ scam. I’m not saying supplements aren’t useful – as needed, but it’s not necessary long-term (and this is coming from a former vitamin junkie).

No, good health is simple. Eat good food – food YOU cook. Drink pure water and breathe fresh air. Get out into the sun, and put your bare feet onto the ground. Move your body. Turn off your computer (or your phone) and spend time with your loved ones. Make time for meditation, prayer, and laughter. Heal your relationships and release your trauma and any false beliefs. And find reasons to be grateful for your life and for being alive.

Good health is practicing what our ancestors have done for millennia (and they didn’t worry about what their Vit. D or cholesterol levels were).

Again, good health is not complicated, but it does take commitment. It doesn’t come from the convenience of taking a pill, or the next health fad. It comes from looking inside.

In purity: Eat, live, love, and laugh, and you will find true health! And that truly is no BS
