Choco-Goji Treats: A Healthy Sweet Snack
A Sweet That Satisfies
The first time I made Choco-Goji Treats, I couldn’t believe how good a healthy sweet could taste. These little bites, part of my Wise & Wild Way, are now a weekly staple in my kitchen. They’re chocolatey, crunchy, and guilt-free.
Maybe you’re craving something sweet but want to keep it healthy. Maybe you think treats can’t be good for you. What If I said, you can eat snacks that feel indulgent and fuel your health.
Prep Smart: Soaking Seeds
I’m big on soaking seeds for better digestion and nutrient absorption. For this recipe, prep your sunflower seeds ahead. Soak them in water with a teaspoon of sea salt for 7-24 hours (I just soak them overnight), rinse well, then spread on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at your oven’s lowest setting until crispy. I bulk-soak seeds and nuts, storing them in the freezer for easy use. It’s a holistic living hack that makes these treats and your digestion even better.
The Recipe: Choco-Goji Treats
This Wise & Wild Way recipe is simple, delicious, and perfect for satisfying sweet cravings. Here’s how to make it.
Servings: ~18 pieces
Ingredients
- 1¾ cups Lilly’s no-sugar-added chocolate chips (or regular chocolate chips)
- 1 tsp extra-virgin coconut oil or butter
- ½ cup sun-dried goji berries
- ½ cup crispy sunflower seeds (soaked and dried)
- 1 dash sea salt
- Optional: Flaky sea salt, cayenne pepper, unsweetened coconut flakes
Tip: Remember to buy the highest quality ingredients you can find—organic, with no additional garbage.

Directions:
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Bring a medium pot of water to a gentle boil.
- Place a heatproof bowl over the pot (steam heats the bowl, not water).
- Add chocolate and oil or butter; stir until melted.
- Remove bowl; mix in goji berries, sunflower seeds, and sea salt.
- Let mixture cool slightly to firm up, then scoop 1½ Tbsp. mounds onto the sheet (a small melon scooper works great).
- Optional: Sprinkle some with flaky salt, cayenne, or coconut flakes for variety.
- Refrigerate 1 hour until solid.
Why I Love It
These treats are my go-to because they’re healthier than candy but taste just as good. They’re also an easy favorite to take to get-togethers. The mix of chocolate, goji berries, and crispy seeds, and healthy fats is a game-changer for your taste buds without sacrificing your health—of course eaten in moderation, right? I make them weekly, switching up ingredients for fun—try different nuts or dried fruit—get creative!
