Resources For W&WW Journal

Here are recommended resources and links that will be helpful on your Wise & Wild Way/GAPS Protocol journey. This is not an exhaustive list, so feel free to use other healthy options if you so desire and as budget allows. If for any reason any of the links aren’t working, please let us know. Start Up Guide:

Equipment:

  • Cookware: Here are some options for you to choose from based on budget and preference.
  • Juicers: Here are two options depending on your budget. I have had clients happy with both.
  • Fermenting Tools
    • Mason jars (with 2-part lid) for fermenting/culturing can easily be found at your local Walmart or grocery store. Get a variety of sizes: pint, quart, and half gallon. Wide-mouth is my preference.
    • Fermenting Heating Mat or Heat Pad: Great for yogurts and keeping ferments at a consistent temp. A dehydrator is also an excellent choice and easy to use (see under cookware)
    • Sauerkraut pounder
    • Airlock System: Keeps air out of your ferments and helps prevent overspill. For wide-mouth mason jars
  • Food Resources:
    • Find a WAPF Chapter leader in your area for a list of farmers where you can find your meat, eggs, and raw milk.
    • Realmilk.Com  To find additional raw milk vendors.
    • Azure Standard Is a great option to find Organic, Non-GMO groceries, household, and personal care items
    • Find Real Food Is a great app (by WAPF) to help you find quality products at the grocery store.
    • Epic: For quality animal fats.
    • Culture For Health: Starters for culturing/fermenting (great for making your first batches of probiotic foods,  especially kefir).
